I managed to sneak away to the opener of preseason camp today.  The participants included all four rookies, and all of last years remaining players except the three players in National Team Camp and Robbie Russell, and Rachid El Khalifi. Newcomers Abe Thompson, Rauwshaun McKenzie, and Tim Melia were also in attendance.

The practice was entirely fitness related with some basic warm-up exercises first, then some timed 40-yard dashes, and a couple of other timed tests.  The finale was the dreaded “beep test”.  The 3 final participants in this were Will Johnson, Tony Beltran, and Raphael Cox.  The “returning champion”, Cox, again walked away with the prestigious award (and reportedly $100).
