Yura Movsisyan interview on the Randers training field giving his thoughts on Randers current situation, and what to look forward to from the second half of the season.
Former Real Salt Lake striker Miguel Luis Escalada scored a goal in the 62nd minute, but his team (Deportivo Cuenca) still lost the match against Nacional 3-2. Here is a highlight clip from the match. You can see Escalada’s strike and celebration beginning around the 40 second mark:

Artur Aghasyan
Feb 10
Current Chivas USA trialist, Artur Aghasyan, has scored 4 goals in 3 preseason matches for the Home Depot-based club. Many of you may say, “who is Artur Aghasyan?” Others may remember him from a brief stint with Real Salt Lake last pre-season in Oxnard, California. Aghasyan played as a guest for Real Salt Lake against Shandong Luneng Taishan, after playing against RSL in a previous exhibition match with his Ventura County Fusion club. He notched a goal in the 77th minute of that match as RSL routed the Chinese side 6-0.
Aghasyan is a bit of a legend in the Ventura area, and has a following, especially among the local Armenian community. But before anyone gets too excited, goals can be much easier to come by in the preseason especially against lower level competition. Either way, this is a guy to keep your eye on:
EDIT: I wasn’t aware of this, but apparently Artur is Yura Movsisyan’s cousin.
Double Talk – It’s BACK!!!
Feb 10
Many of you are familiar with the trailblazing RSL fansite, AYL Soccer. Unfortunately AYL has been dormant for a while at least partially due to the relocation of one of the founding members. I can honestly say that I learned a lot from the guys at AYL, and in particular Eric Salsbery (aka Deuce).
If you followed AYL at all you know that there was a lot of great content there which was important during RSL’s formative years. There were two can’t miss segments in particular – the weekly podcast, and Double Talk. There has been some whispering that AYL may try to resurrect the podcast this season. I’d love to see this happen.
I’m also happy to report that the creative mind behind Double Talk, Jacob Hart, is joining Keepin’ It Real for this season. He’ll be doing some video work, some writing, and just in general sharing his creative thoughts. He’ll also be producing some segments of Double Talk. Welcome aboard Jake!
Here is the first one featuring David Horst and Collen Warner:
EDIT: For all of the past versions of DoubleTalk visit AYL Soccer or the Zorilla Studios Youtube channel.
Here is part 2 of the recent interview with Collen Warner:
Here is part 1 of an interview we did with Collen Warner today after the first rookie practice. In this clip, he discusses the plans he had for Europe, the lead-up to the draft, and some interesting events on draft day. Enjoy!
Must see video of Beckerman, Donovan, Beasley, et al, during their Bradenton days talking about the 2010 World Cup.
New RSL TV ad
Jan 29
So a couple of days ago we questioned what RSL was doing to capitalize on their MLS Cup Championship from a marketing perspective. Here is at least a partial response. Expect this TV ad to hit the airwaves soon:
I’m sure that we’ll see this video again as part of a bigger video – either TV ad, or maybe for the home opener.
