KIR SCOUTING REPORT
Kyle is about to enter his 10th season in the league at the young age of 27. His experience shows out on the pitch, as he is often the most poised player on the ball. He has a high-level of technical ability, and is especially adept at switching directions with the ball. He can get forward extremely well, and has shown an ability to take quality long-distance strikes. While there is certainly a strong amount of finesse to his game, Beckerman also has a reasonable amount of bite, and has an engine that doesn’t stop.
Kyle has been RSL’s captain for the last two seasons. This reflects the fact that he is the heart of the team both on the field and off the field. Some have suggested that he isn’t the vocal leader in the locker room that he needs to be, but he is clearly a captain that will not let the team give up.
Beckerman is a great player in the short passing game. If there is a knock on his game it could be that his long passing could improve.
Beckerman has few weaknesses in his game, and this has led him to a January NT invite that he hopes to parlay into a spot on the 2010 World Cup roster.
