Pereira Evaluating Offers After Turning Down United Extension
Andreas Pereira has recently confirmed that he would be considering an offer from Juventus to join the team in summer 2015. This decision has taken after he had declined a new Manchester United contract.
The young attacking midfielder is looking forward to leave United as soon as his contract is brought to an expiration by the end of his season. The 19-year-old player had been at Old Trafford for three and a half years.
It had been reported that French team PSG was targeting the Pereira. However, the Belgium-born player is considering following the path of former United player Paul Pogba. The latter had left Old Trafford in 2012 and joined Turin as a free agent.
When interviewed by Turin-based sports paper Tuttosport, Pereira has affirmed that Juve is a great club. He also confirmed that he has been in contact with Pogba in order to harvest some feedback on life with Juventus and about moving to Turin. Pogba advised his that this decision would be beneficial both in his personal and professional endeavours.
The player is however, still tied with Manchester United. He confirmed that his agent is evaluating offers, including the one from Juventus. Pereira commented that his knowledge of the Italian league has prepared him on what to expect. He is however, evaluating options, the financial aspect might play a crucial role in his decision.
Pereira had initially made his debut for Louis van Gaal’s side acting as substitute in the Capital One Cup defeat in August 2014.
