Mendes says Ronaldo will stay at Madrid until his career ends, move to PSG “impossible”
Jorge Mendes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, has clearly stated that it will be “impossible” for the Madrid star to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Given Real Madrid’s loss to Barcelona by 4 goals to nil, there has been speculation as to whether Ronaldo will leave the club.
For months now, there has been rumors about Ronaldo’s move to PSG – the French champions – yet Mendes has suggested that he stay at Madrid until his career is over.
In speaking on the French show, Canal Football Club, he said, “He is like a son for me. I met him at 15 years old. He was really the best and he is, at the moment, the best player in the world — and the best ever for sure. It’s impossible. He will end his career at Real Madrid.”
Of course, this interview was taken during the premiere of Ronaldo’s film in London but was only broadcast this week given the attacks in Paris on November 13.
Even though the Real Madrid forward feels as if he isn’t at his best this season, Mendes is adamant that he is the finest player in the world while squashing all speculation as to whether he will move to Paris Saint-Germain when the 2015-16 season comes to an end in May.
Yet another club that has been interested in Ronaldo is Monaco, thanks to sharing a close relationship with Mendes and enjoying solid financial backing too.
Still, Vadim Vasilyev, the vice-President of the club, believes that it is unrealistic to consider Ronaldo moving to Monaco even if he is the biggest player in the world. In other words, Monaco doesn’t believe that they could sign him now either.
