Italian Soccer Has Regained Its Glory, with Juventus on the lead
Even after the team secured a fourth straight championship in the Serie A, it might still be argued whether the Juventus team has achieved 31 or 33 Italian championship wins. However, a sure fact is the Juventus is back on the lead again in Italian soccer.
For almost a decade the Italian teams have struggled to keep a name in European competitions. However, this time the teams appear to be re-emerging as legit forces in the continent’s soccer competitions.
The effort put together by Italian teams has yielded wonderful results and been able to stem the declining trends that Italian soccer was experiencing.
Juventus FC coach Massimiliano Allegri has managed to lift up his players throughout the Serie A but specially by the end of the season as the team tackled UC Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris stadium. The match was played on the 2nd of May and held in Genoa, Italy.
However, the story of Juventus sparks from more than just the last decade and is not just about European failure. Most Juventus fans still remember the year 2006 where the Calciopoli scandal emerged. The team was found guilty of trying to influence match officials in their favor. As a sanction, the team was relegated to Serie B. To add to their dismay they have also lost two Serie A titles in the process.
Since then Juventus has struggled to gain back a place in the Serie A and the road had been bumpy. Speculations are rife that the team has now finally regained its glory.
