Manchester United interested in De Bruyne, Bayern denies interest immediately
Manchester United are reported to be interested in Kevin De Bruyne who plays for Wolfsburg. Even though Manchester City wants to sign him, they don’t have a problem hijacking that 50 million pounds deal.
For a while now, the deal with City has reportedly fallen through and which means that De Bruyne, who once played for Chelsea, will now move to the Etihad.
Only recently, Manchester United has lost out on a number of players that they wanted to acquire for the club’s new season. But that hasn’t deterred them from chasing the Bundesliga Player of the Year.
Even though talks with Pedro from Barcelona was on, he decided to move to Chelsea right at the end leaving United fans very disappointed. Still, Manchester United have not yet made an official bid as talks with City’s representatives continue and with the amount clearly exceeding 50 million pounds.
Interestingly, Bayern has also been linked with De Bruyne’s signing but they have denied the rumors almost immediately. Yet there are reports that suggests that Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already spoken with De Bruyne on the subject of moving to Bayern at the end of the season.
So it should come as no surprise that Markus Hoerwick told reporters, “We will definitely not become active in the matter of De Bruyne. This is something the board has decided for some time.”
If there’s any basis to these reports, then one can easily see United trumping City for the signing of De Bruyne as the transfer window will closes on September 1, 2015.
